Ashley:
How
are you guys doing?
Austin:
Good.
Keith: Wonderful.
Tim: Grand.
Chris: Very good.
Ashley: Could you introduce yourselves and what's your role in the band?
Austin:
I'm Austin. I play guitar.
Keith: I'm Keith and I sing and play guitar.
Tim: I'm Tim. I play the drums.
Chris: I'm Chris..uhh..bass.
Ashley: How did your band get together?
Austin:
How'd we get together? We, uhh we went to elementary school together. We, uh,
jammed after school together. It'd be like an after school thing, getting
together, just to have fun.
Chris: Yup.
Austin:
Then eventually it just kind of took off from there.
Keith: We like to jam, we've liked to jam since back in the day, since
way back.
Ashley: A lot of current bands were self-proclaimed "losers" in high
school, what about you guys?
Austin:
We were the cool kids.
Keith: The coolest.
Ashley: What was your first time onstage together like?
Austin:
Sick. It was at the Webster Theater.
Tim: It was awesome.
Austin:
It's always a good experience.
Keith: Well we just got this drummer here, and the first time we played
in front of people, I think it was with something corporate. Probably a couple
months ago.
Tim: At the Webster Theater.
Keith: At the Webster Theater in Connecticut and it was sold out or
something. My man tore it up.
Tim: ::Laughs::
Keith: That was the shit.
Tim: ::Laughs::
Ashley: You previously recorded 'The Feel Of It,' how do you think your
sound has changed since then?
Keith: A lot, I think it changed a lot.
Austin:
It changed more to our liking too.
Keith: Yeah, like more, yeah it has just grown. We all have different
thoughts and everything,so we're doing pretty well.
Ashley: Are you recording any new material soon?
Keith: Yeah.
Austin:
Yep, a full length album in 2004.
Keith: Full length album, we're going to probably start recording in
February.
Ashley: Do you guys write all your music together?
Keith: Yeah, toghether.
Chris: Sometimes the songs start with the acoustic guitar.
Austin:
An idea, it gets built on.
Ashley: What band have you seen live that has made an impact on your
show?
Tim: Bjork.
Keith: Bjork.
Chris: Disco Biscuits.
Ashley: When you guys travel to your shows, do you get time to hang
around in the cities?
Austin:
Yeah, big time.
Keith: We try to, most of the time we're tired, so we just sleep, or, or
eat.
Chris: ::Laughs::
Ashley: What's your favorite thing to do while you're touring around?
Austin:
Play.
Keith: Play.
Tim: Just set up on stage beforehand and jam around a little bit.
Chris:Play.
Ashley: You've played with a lot of bands, who was your favorite to play
with?
Tim: That's hard.
Austin:
That is hard.
Tim: That's a hard question.
Keith: I don't know, I really couldn't say. All the bands that we've
played with...
Chris: They're all different.
Tim: They're all different, but they're all good guys too.
Keith: It's always fun to play with everybody.
Ashley: If you could pick any band to tour with, who would you chose?
Tim: That's a hard one too.
Chris: Chiba Matto.
Tim: There's like a hundred bands.
Austin:
Yeah.
Ashley: Have you guys been to the Warped Tour?
Austin:
Yeah.
Ashley: Who was your favorite act to see there?
Tim: I don't even know.
Austin:
Yeah, it's hard to chose.
Ashley: Do you think you'll get to play the Warped Tour?
Austin:
Yeah, we played there. 2 years ago.
Ashley: If you could put the spotlight on any band or album what would it
be?
Tim: Up and coming?
Ashley: Up and coming, or current.
Chris: Heinous Anus.
Tim: Sick band.
Keith: Umm, who else?
Austin:
Recovery.
Keith: Yeah, Recovery.
Ashley: How long have you guys played on this tour?
Austin:
Since November 8th.
Ashley: Where was the first show you played at?
Austin:
L.A.
Ashley: What's the most recent album that you've bought?
Keith: I haven't bought a cd in so long.
Austin:
Most recent... Pet Sounds.
Tim: Air... Air.
Ashley: Anything else you'd like to say?
Austin:
Any last words, guys?
Keith: Get ready for some crazy shit.
Chris: Yeah, crazy.
Tim: Yeah.
Ashley: Thanks, guys.
Keith&Austin: No problem.
Tim: Thanks.
